The first in our Summer Guest Chef Series; Abby Lee brought Mambow to Fitzrovia for two nights this July. Drawing inspiration from her Singaporean and Malaysian heritage, Abby’s food unites her love of unique and flavoursome ingredient combinations of tangy, spicy, herby and aromatic.
It is her time in Singapore and Malaysia that’s inspired her supper-club style menu for the takeover, with dishes such as Nasi Lemak, Ayam Goreng Berempah; Malaysian fried chicken, coconut pandan rice, fried anchovies, peanuts, fried egg, cucumber, sweet sambal and Perut Ikan – Nyonya fish curry of grey mullet, clams & aromatic 7 herbs. There will also be an array of snacks on offer, including Crispy Five Spice Pork and Prawn Rolls, Plum Sauce and Sriracha and Prawn Fritters with Peanut Sauce.
